Football Beanie

I recently purchased a hat for my son.  He loves hats.  I was looking for something simple, something fun, something different.  I like shopping on Etsy for purposes like that, when you know the local malls won't have what you're looking for, and you know some crafty person has already thought of what you needed.  And it's there, on Etsy, waiting for you.

I found my sons simple, fun, and different hat here.  Since hats are made to order, I'd like to thank angelschest for making this for my son! 

We just received the hat yesterday and I immediately put it on my son.  It fits well and there is still room to grow.  It's a perfect addition to his hat collection!  The hat, by the way, looks professional.  It feels very sturdy and rugged, yet soft enough for my 22 month old son.  He's not quite sure what to do with the ties but I'm sure he'll be used to them in no time.  I can't wait to snap some pictures of him wearing this hat!

Etsy Mugs

I love unique, rustic, large-handled, comforting mugs.  I love looking at them, admiring them, and determining if I'd drink coffee, tea, or cocoa out of the mug. 

This mug screams coffee to me... rich, bold, dark coffee.  I love the scrolling details in the handle too. 

I would love to sip hot tea from this mug.  And look at that LARGE handle!  I can almost see myself sitting on my sofa, wrapped in a blanket, and resting my hand through that handle and wrapping my fingers around the mug...

This set is adorable!  They hold about 1 cup.  Perferct to use for tea as a side beverage.  I would use this type of cup during my mid-morning snack.  (Yes I have mid-morning snacks!)

This mug looks so dainty, but it holds 20 ounces.  This would be my I'd-like-to-be-on-vacation-right-now mug.

This is just a silly mug!  This would be the perfect mug to keep at work.  The seller makes these for righty or lefty's too and even has all kinds of animals too.

I'm not one for designs of my mugs but this mug of trees is interesting.  The handle is inviting and I can see this mug being used for rich hot cocoa during the cooler season.

My first Etsy purchase!

I made my first Etsy purchase!!  I ordered my Market Tote bag on Wednesday and paid with PayPal.  After three days my payment was accepted.  My Tote was mailed that same day from CA and I received it here in NH on Monday!  That's mighty speedy, dontcha think?

The fabric is designed by Amy Butler.  I learned about Amy Butler from decor8.  Just type Amy Butler in her search box and you will find many many pages of Amy Butler on her blog.  I love the designs, the colors, the boldness of it all.  It's quite delicious if you ask me. 

I'm not very into brands and labels.  They don't interest me and never will.  And I have zero knowledge about fashion, design, or art.  But last week I found myself on a hunt for a bag made with Amy Butler fabric.  I was so excited and I made my purchase within minutes of finding my treasure. 

Today, I have my treasure with me and I cannot stop staring at it, my Market Tote bag.  I can't wait to bring it to the farmer's market and load it up with wine, cheese, lettuce, and soap.  Can you picture it?  I can almost smell it, it's that exciting for me.
